<p>There are numerous reasons why the mucous membranes become infected. One of the most common reasons is the outbreak of the fungus, Candida albicans and to a lesser extent bacteria or disease my develop. When babies get a yeast infection in the mouth they usually call it thrush and when adults get it, it&#8217;s called Candidiasis or moniliasis.</p>
<p> Candida is a yeast-like fungus that occurs naturally in small quantities in the human digestive system and in women&#8217;s vaginal region. It is also the same Candida fungus that causes yeast infections in women, and yeast infection in the mouth. This happens when the Candida organism, which is present in small numbers in a healthy person, grows out of control. The fungus invades the membranes lining the mouth and throat, and secretes toxic substances which may cause a painful burning feeling. </p>
<p> An oral yeast infection can be triggered by a variety of factors. Antibiotics can do it, for instance. Other long-term drug treatments, such as chemotherapy, can also increase vulnerability to yeast infections by making the body a more fertile environment for Candida to grow in. The drugs weaken the immune system by killing off many of the so called good bacteria that keep fungi like Candida in check. Thus a course of drug treatments can increase the chance of yeast infection occurring.</p>
<p> Conditions that affect the immune system, such as diabetes, malnutrition and drug abuse, trigger changes that increase the likelihood of Candida growth. Yeast infections in the mouth are more common in young children and the elderly. The immune systems of babies and seniors are not strong enough to fend off small changes.</p>
<p> People with poorly fitting dentures are prime candidates for developing a yeast infection in the mouth. The mouth&#8217;s mucous membranes are more likely to be damaged due to dentures that do not fit properly. These damaged areas may provide the gateway for Candida fungi to take hold and cause a problem.</p>
<p> One of the more common symptoms of yeast infection in the mouth is a discharge that could be white or cream-colored. Sometimes yellow spots appear in the mouth too, indicating that the mucous membranes within the mouth have been infected or inflamed. The next stage is often a burning sensation  in the throat and mouth of the sufferer. This can be extremely painful and will require some form of medication.</p>
<p> In treating the infection, the problem&#8217;s origin must be first addressed. For instance, if dentures are the trigger for the infection then you have to replace them. With this completed you can then deal with treating the problem. In most cases this involves taking antifungal medications to reduce or remove the fungi from the mouth and throat. Mostly, antifungal drugs for treating yeast infection in the mouth are in the form of pastilles. By sucking on them, the anti fungal medicine is delivered directly to the infection.</p>

<p>Do you wish you could dance? I&#8217;m a guy with a passion for Dance. Perhaps my passion is greater than my dancing ability but that can never stop my dream. DanceSteps-n-Dancing is a blogging forum for everyone to express their every thought and to share their every joy. </p>
<p>My mother was a lover of Dance. She was a Dancing Coach and developed her own Dance classes and also coached at a prominent Melbourne studio. I was borne in Melbourne and at an early age my mother would encourage me to join her dance classes. At this time in my young life dancing held little interest for me and I was soon  to reject her requests. That is now a sad memory as my mother died young to only see the early days of my manhood.</p>
<p>As the years past by I again had thoughts of dancing and was tempted to test my dance floor ability. Perhaps my dancing was a little gangly at first but in time I managed to gain some style and posture. Is it possible that my childhood  training by my kind mother was beginning to shine? I am sure it is and I would like my mother to somehow  know.</p>
<p>Dance is a reflection of our most primitive instinctual behavour. Other skills you&#8217;ll develop as you learn to poise and grace and encourage coordination and muscle strength are particularly important in later life, The rhythm and balance that our bodies inherit from dancing are engraved in out hearts forever.</p>
<p>My passion for dance and dancing has created lots of new friendships. Some are like me and believe in dancing as being a way of life. Others have varied interests and the mix of friendships and desires is wonderful to have. In conversation there is always an opportunity to talk about your favorite passion and an even greater opportunity to be a great listener.</p>
<p>My website is not in memory of my mother. She is just there. Perhaps with a guiding hand. DanceSteps-n-Dancing with Dance moves too is a site for you to come and experience the dance thoughts of others. You may post about anything related to dance, tell about your dance steps and dance moves experience, or just tell us your thoughts and memories. </p>

<p>The performance aspect of dance has helped me to build healthy self-esteem and confidence, develops skills that help with other sports, not to mention the fun! <p>The &#8220;3 Day Diet&#8221; goes back to 1985 and today can be found all over the Internet and on book store shelves.  The three day diet and its variants claim quick weight loss, a cleansing of the system, lower cholesterol and increased energy all through a &#8220;specific metabolic reaction&#8221; that no version of the diet has ever validated</p>
<p>.  The diet is to be followed for only 3 days, with an off period of generally 5 days in between diet times.  All the versions of this diet share in common difficult steps that must be followed and foods that must be eaten in order for the diet to work.  </p>
<p>What better way to blame the dieter when it doesn&#8217;t work than &#8220;you botched the formula.&#8221;</p>
<p>Breakfast on the first day comes with coffee (no sugar), one half a grapefruit, and a piece of toast with 1 Tbsp peanut butter. For lunch, you are to eat a can of tuna, a piece of toast, and black coffee. For dinner it&#8217;s 3 ounces of chicken or lean meat, a cup of green beans, one cup of carrots, one apple, and one cup of regular vanilla ice cream. The other two days are about the same but with some substitutions such as hot dogs instead of lean meat. The diet sellers claim that weight loss of 10 pounds is achievable over the 3 days that the diet lasts.</p>
<p>Hogwash is the answer.  The question is what is a specific reaction to that claim?  As stated the metabolic reaction has never been explained much less proven. Any weight loss would be mostly water loss due to a lack of carbs which help the body retain water. That could lead to dehydration.</p>
<p>Because of binge eating after such starvation and because most of the weight lost is due to water, the weight will quickly return after the three days. </p>
<p>Deprive the body of water in three day cycles enough times and a person could develop kidney damage, dehydration, or a host of other dangerous conditions.</p>
<p>The 3 day diet is best treated as a no day diet. In other words, don&#8217;t do it.</p>

<p>When you want to reduce your pain and symptoms, using a home remedy for psoriasis can be both fast and safe.  Of course, you&#8217;ll always want to talk with your doctor about your treatment options, but these home remedies can be used no matter what medication you are on.  These are not meant as a cure, but if you want to lessen the severity of your psoriasis you&#8217;ll want to eat a healthy diet, exercise and try to reduce stress</p>
<p>A psoriasis diet is one home remedy for psoriasis.  This doesn&#8217;t include counting calories and is not meant as a one size fits all diet.  Instead, realize that what you eat can affect your psoriasis and strive to eat a healthy diet.  A food diary can be useful in knowing which foods aggravate your condition.  Some foods are known to worsen psoriasis.  Reduce dairy and meat and increase vegetables.  Essential fatty acids are important and can be found in both fish and flax.  To make sure you are getting enough Omega 3 and 6, take a flax seed oil or fish oil supplement.   </p>
<p>Items in your kitchen cupboard that can be applied directly to the skin can also help relieve your psoriasis.  One popular home remedy for psoriasis is apple cider vinegar.  Add one cup of apple cider vinegar to a gallon of water.  Place a cloth in this mixture and then apply the washcloth on the area that is bothering you.  This can help ease the itching.</p>
<p>Olive oil is a popular home remedy for psoriasis.  Warm some olive oil and massage it directly onto your scalp.  You can also add a cup of oil, olive or vegetable, to your bath.  This will help control the itching.  Keeping your skin moisturized will help reduce scaling as well.</p>
<p>Until there is a cure for psoriasis, many people will choose to control their condition with a combination of traditional medication and at home remedies for psoriasis.   A home remedy for psoriasis that studies have shown to be effective is aloe vera.  It may help reduce the number of plaques and can be applied directly to the skin.  </p>
<p>The most inexpensive home remedy for psoriasis is baking soda.  You can make a topical solution by mixing 1 1/2 cups into three gallons of water.  Simply soak a cloth in the mixture and apply it to your skin.</p>
<p>Eating right and using home made mixtures to help control the itching are important, but don&#8217;t forget to keep an eye on your stress level.  Stress can make psoriasis worse.  Incorporate exercise, yoga, or meditation into your everyday routine.</p>
